On Monday, MTV announced that Miley Cyrus will host the 2015 Video Music Awards.
Actually, Cyrus announced it Millennial-style: on her Twitter and Instagram accounts, wearing a sign that read, 'MTV won't let me perform ... so I'm hosting this year's VMA's.' Naturally, her photo announcement
was accompanied by an expletive-laden caption.
The pop star is returning to her controversial roots following her 2013's VMAs appearance, when she delivered an eyebrow-raising performance of We Can't Stop and then twerked all over the then-married Robin Thicke during Blurred Lines.
Last year at the show Cyrus brought Jesse Helt, a homeless man, as her date, and dedicated her Moon Man to him after winning video of the year for Wrecking Ball. (Helt later served six months in an Oregon jail for a parole violation.)
What will Cyrus cook up next? Wait and see. The VMAs will air on Aug. 30 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on MTV.
